Travel to Tea Plantations in Simalungun, North Sumatera, Indonesia

North Sumatra has many natural attractions of other interesting places to visit. One of them is a tea plantations in Simalungun that like a green tapestry. Simalungun Regency in North Sumatra has a beautiful natural landscape. Besides having the area directly adjacent to Lake Toba, this area also has a beautiful tea plantations. This area is located in Sidamanik, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. The distance is about 15 kilometers from Pematangsiantar City.

In these areas, we find three locations of state plantation which managed tea (Camelia sinensis) commodity. The plantations are Bah Butong, Sidamanik, and Tobasari. Tea or Camelia plantation is the first C in this harmony. All three of these plantations have existed since the Dutch colonial era. Moreover, the tea plantations in Sidamanik is the second largest producer of black tea in Indonesia. Source

Being at these tea plantations is able to make your mind becomes fresh. As far as the eye could see, stretched broad expanse of tea tree to follow the twists of land is bumpy and hilly. The air in this plantation are also cool and soothing.
