Travel with me to Seeta falls

Hey Steemit Community, So in my previous blog, I have told you guys about the pebble stack disaster. Now, let me tell you how I got there.

The place is Seeta Falls Someshwara wild life sanctuary, which is located in North-West Karnataka and comes under the Udupi district. When I informed my friends that we will be riding to Seeta falls, they all warned me that the road is very bad and the best option would be to trek for 10 kms rather than ride till the end. But, being me, I did not take it too seriously, I mean how bad can it be, right?

So, finally the day came. From the state highway we took right and after 5 kms we took a left and the roads were amazing. And then came the 7kms dreadful stretch of road where we literally struggled but had a good experience too.

Now, I ride a Rc390 and hence it has a very low ground clearance and I ended up struggling taking the bike till top. But all is well that ends well. Somehow managed to reach on top.

We went to the check post for the tickets to get to the falls. We were shocked at first when they started checking for Plastic items and informed us that we would have to pay a certain amount as charges for carrying the bottles with us to the falls. On questioning further, they informed us that the amount will be refunded to us on our way back if the bottle is shown at the post. Basically, just making sure no one throws it at the falls. Was really happy with this small change and I really hope it is applied every place so that our country can develop and remain clean.

Well, after a nice conversation with the guard, he guided us to the entrance of the falls. He told us it would be a 3kms trek to the falls. Looking at the roads, I asked him if we could just ride till there and he politely smiled and replied “Not allowed ma’am”.

We then continued to walk and after about 500 meters we realised that there was no road. We had to climb the rocks to get further. This is when the guards smile struck me and I realised why he said bikes weren’t allowed.

We finally managed to reach our destination and it was just beautiful. It was worth riding till here and doing the trek to reach this place.
