Architecturalphotography--Wanfo Tower 杜甫草堂 之 万佛楼

Today I would like to share with you the Wanfo Tower,which lies in the east of Du Fu Thatched Cottage. If you follow me, you can see my previous post about Du Fu Thatched Cottage.

The Tower we see now was rebuilt in 2005 in its place. The original tower was destroyed, and only the foundation was left. There were many figures of the Buddha in the original tower. Now it is four storeys high and made of wood.there is nothing in it, except a big clock on the top floor, which pray for peace and happiness.

Du Fu Thatched Cottage is near the river, when spring is coming, green water surround it and bamboo forest is quiet and beautiful. The scenery is as beautiful as a painting. It is well worth a visit.

今天给大家分享的这个建筑是杜甫草堂的万佛楼。它位于杜甫草堂东面清幽秀丽的树林中。我们现在看到的这个建筑都是后来在原址基础上重新修建的，之前的仅剩一个地基（柱础石24个，呈辐射状排列），在地下用玻璃罩着，可供游人观看。

楼顶上有一个大钟。楼里现在基本都是空的。原来的楼为佛塔，是木制四层的宝顶结构，呈八边形，楼顶有琉璃瓦，楼内有佛像，后被拆毁。

杜甫一生流离颠破，又赶上唐朝的安史之乱，所以经常背井离乡，漂流在外。只有后来到了成都，在亲友的帮助下，当上了官，有了薪水，住起了草堂，才算过上相对安稳的日子。而在成都的这四年，对他来说也是很重要的四年，很多诗都是在此期间创作完成的。杜甫号称杜工部也是因为在此居住的这段经历。

杜甫草堂靠近江边，春潮涌起，绿水绕宅，翠竹清幽，风景如画。特别值得一去观赏游玩。
