Kampot is a lovely town in Cambodia, it is on the coast near to a river, it is only about 3.5 hours drive from Phnom Penh. It is rather sleepy but has a charm all of its own, well worth a visit.
Kampot is well known for "Kampot Pepper" first described in the 13th century, Kampot offers the perfect location and soil for the growing of Pepper.
Kampot also has some of the best soil for growing Sugar Cane, many tourists come to Kampot to feel the quiet atmosphere and see Bokor Mountain and Bokor National Park.
