Vienna is simply bursting with Imperial history and stunning architecture made up of palaces, museums, theatres and churches; such as the world-famous Vienna State Opera, and Schonburnn Palace which Napoloen once used as his headquarters during the Occupation of Austria. Austria's capital is also the birthplace of the coffeehouse with Café Sacher being a must visit to try the original Viennese Sachertorte! We went four times during our week long stay and were left buzzing all from the caffeine rush. There is so much to see and we will return to further explore Austria’s capital during the ball season, with a musical accompaniment by Mozart and Straus. The above photo was taken one evening while walking home from the Schonbrunn Palace, the colours are absolutely beautiful!
