Travel Photo Diary 15: Palatine Hill in Rome

The Roman Forum is without a doubt my favourite place to visit in the city. I am fascinated by its incredible history and preserved structures. The Forum was the epicentre for the Roman people and includes ruins of basilicas, temples, government buildings and public squares which date back to 7 BC. Right next to the Roman Forum is Palatine Hill, the location of the various palaces overlooking the city. Rome is filled with locations begging to be toured and you can spend hours strolling the streets with ice cream in hand. Unlike its counterparts from ancient civilisation, the city is full to the brim with as many tourists as locals. It’s extremely busy and can unfortunately cause many of the landmarks to be very overcrowded.
