Travels #2 - Major Throwback To Gyeongbokgung Palace (S. Korea)steemCreated with Sketch.

Hey guys, today's entry will be on a major throwback to Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Why a major throwback? Probably because I wasn't in Steemit then and I've not blogged about this before.

When you first arrive to the palace, you'll notice a really huge entrance. Pretty majestic I must say.

Luckily, they had a royal guard changing procession when I was there. I believe it's done twice a day.

That's me last time.

I didn't know what to expect, so it was pretty interesting for me.

Once you've passed the entrance, they have a place where you can rent their traditional clothes for photo-taking. I wasn't very keen in that so I didn't participate in that.

What I was quite fascinated about is the size of the whole area. It's massive! It's like I couldn't finish walking all over the place.

I really liked the background and it's actually a great place for photos.

When you stare at a distance, you can see the mountain (or hill?).

They have a lake inside the place as well.

This became my cover photo in FB for a long, long time.

It was a REALLY long walk all the way to the back of the palace. I came out from the back and I believed we bumped into the Prime Minister's place? There was a guy with a huge gun at the top of the building. Scary stuff. We walked to the next town after that and it was really tiring!

What do you guys think of Gyeongbokgung Palace? Have you been there before? Do share your experiences!

Great shots you got, especially of the guard shift! Next time will be in Hanbok, right? ;-)

See how it goes hahaha!
