Hello guys! Welcome to the 4th entry of my Travels series!
This time, I went out of the way to take a few photos of some touristy location here in Malacca (Malaysia).
I acted like a tourist holding a DSLR, walking around when I've probably been there like a 100 times. LOL.
Location of photos: At the back of Dataran Pahlawan Megamall Melaka.
Camera: Nikon D3400
Okay, before all of those photos, let me just share what I had for lunch:
Nasi lemak with rendang chicken. This is at OIdTown. I seem to come here a lot, probably because it's convenient and I was super hungry.
Nasi lemak as well but this time it's with fried chicken instead. For those who do not know, nasi lemak is a Malay dish and is also one of the most popular dishes in Malaysia.
Okay, back to the topic!
Malacca is known for its historical sites and it's also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This pic was taken inside Dataran Pahlawan. It's sort of a fountain with beautiful carvings depicting Malaysia and its multicultural society.
Up-close view.
Nowadays you can even rent bicycles but you have to first register using a credit card. If it's a hassle, why not rent bicycles from certain booths? They're probably cheaper anyway.
I've never tried these bicycles before. Because I have a car
Bastion House.
One of the main attractions of this small town is the trishaws! They're normally seen in the middle of the town where the tourists normally are. They are usually decorated with all kinds of stickers like Pokemon and Doraemon. They also play kinda loud music on the trishaw.
This is all in the same area.
The famous A Famosa Fort Gate located at the bottom of St. Paul's Hill. If you look at the top of the hill, you'll see an old church. That's the St. Paul's church. I didn't go up there this time, so no photos.. There isn't much up there, but the view is pretty good and it may be worth the climb. Depends on the weather as well. It can be really hot!
Clearer view of the top.
This is supposed to be a pirate show. It used to be a stage but it has now been revamped.
This is where they displayed the history of Malaysia's independence. To be precise, it was the independence of Malaya, before Malaysia was formed.
More museums inside. This area has quite a few buildings that are made into museums to display the history of Malacca.
That's all for now! Thanks for reading this guys!
Do stay around to look at my other blog posts. Mostly are on food and travels!
Hoping to be blessed by the whales.

Yeah it's pretty new but I'm not sure about how well they maintain the condition of those bikes.

Melaka is less acidic than KL. I think they can last.

Haha more worried about whether they even pump the air. They don't have a booth close by so it may be a prob.
