Roseau, Dominica

Roseau is the capital of the Caribbean island nation of Dominica. It's a wonderful and beautiful island, surrounded by so much nature and mountains.

We got together and hopped onto a taxi that took us around the island. This one specifically was such a freaking amazing experience. It's incredible to see despite the poverty, how much beauty is all around you. They also seemed to be quite happy and relaxed, and were very chilled with what they had.

We drove up to the Twin Waterfalls. A few of us plunged around in the refreshing water, while some of climbed up. Such a freaking cool experience.

We sadly did not get to see the Trafalgar Falls, which would have been really nice too.

After getting wet, taking some pictures and climbing up the waterfall, we continued our journey around the island. We took a stop at a sulfur hot spot, which you will not believe how badly that stunk! There is a entire Spa that revolves around Sulfur, which is crazy.

I also love palm trees. Palm trees give such a relaxing feeling; they have that special vacation vibe.

We visited several more hot spots, and it's amazing how beautiful and how awesome this place was. Goofing around, walking around the infamous garden, and visiting the infamous WIFI tree.

Our last stop was at the top of a hill with a gorgeous view of Roseau. We had a really good time there and absolutely loved the nature that surrounded us and the people there. They were all so happy and friendly.

Yet many of you might have heard of what happened to a lot of the islands in the Caribbean and Roseau was hit quite hard. It's heartbreaking to see what has happened and how a lot of it is washed away / destroyed. If you have the opportunity, please consider donating a few dollars to help them. Hurricane Maria was absolutely catastrophic for so many people, and I truly hope the very best for them.
