As a tourist in foreign country you normally do sight seeing, hiking, walking through cities and SHOPPING SOUVENIRS. Problem: The economy knows where tourists normally are, so they open tourist shops and other expensive shops at this places. Zermatt, Zurich, Lucerne are such places in Switzerland and LINDT, CAILLER, FREY, LÄDERACH, TOBLERONE, OVOMALTINE are the expensive chocolate shops. Those are also the companys with the most advertising in Switzerland. Don't understand me wrong, all those chocolate company are delicious, but as a swiss resident I know that you can get just as well chocolate for 0.70 Francs instead of paying 3.00 Francs.
So when you're in Switzerland you should go to a normal supermarket like MIGROS, COOP, ALDI, LIDL and buy there your favourite chocolate. Attention! You can buy there the expensive chocolates too! I recommend you to buy "M-BUDGET", "M-Classic" and other own brands of the supermarkets. Look, you have a huge selection!
To come to an end I want to recommend you two expensive chocolates which are typical suisse. The first one, OVOMALTINE CHOCOLATE, was until a few years ago just a chocolate-malt powder to make a hot chocolate milk which was usually drunk in restaurants in the mountains when you needed a break from skiing.
Aaaaaand the second one is the LINDOR-ball which has a hard shell with a soft content. When you put the ball in your mouth and it mells you literally have a mouth orgasm.
Me, a real CHOCOLATE-LOVER, wishes you "Bon Appetit".
