This post is the story of the last village of India, Mana Village.

The Mana Village is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state and is situated at 3118 meters above the sea level. Mana promoted as Tourism Village by Uttarakhand Government also.

Mana is a small village on the border of India and Tibet/China in the Himalayas. 24kms away from the border of India and China. "India's last village" this world always gonna remind you that you have come a long way just to experience the majestic view of nature.

Mana Village is surrounded by the Himalayan peak and lush green forest. The village is the best place for Meditation, Photography, Tracking, Adventure, religion and Village tourism.

On The Way To Mana Village

Mana is a Last Indian village for tourist but it also has a special place in Hindu mythology and religion. It believed that Pandav passed through the mana village on there way to Heaven.

The village gets its name from Manas Putras. the biological sons of Lord Brahma.

There are many places you can visit near Mana Village. These are some of the places in Mana to Visit.

Vyasa Gufa

Vyasa Gufa- It believe that Veda Vyasa lived here and write four Vedas and Mahabharata here. there is a small temple inside the cave which is 5000 years old and dedicated to Veda Vyasa.

Bhim Pul

Bhim Pul- As legends say that Bheem Pul was created by Bhim ( one of the five brothers of Pandava) on Saraswati River. Bhim Pul is a stone bridge over Saraswati river. Legend says that Bheem placed the rock to make way for Draupadi to cross the river during their journey to heaven.

Vasudhara falls

Vasudhara Falls- Vasudhara Falls is a beautiful waterfall, the view of this waterfall is so fantastic and it will give your mind a peace. It is believed the place is a temporary stay point of Pandavas, during their exile. It also believed that the waterfall turns away from people who are not pure at heart and carry sinful thoughts or feelings.

Mana Village gives you the opportunity to enjoy tracking. Mana to Vasundhara is 2 hours and 5km track but Mana to Satopanth track is a difficult which is a 16km track. Mana to Mana Pass- It is a mountain pass in the Himalayas on the border between India and Tibet.

How to Reach Mana

BY AIR- The nearest Airport to Mana Village is Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun which is 339 km away from Mana. From Dehradun, you can take a bus or taxi to Badrinath, Joshimath and from there you can easily reach Mana Village.

BY RAIL- Haridwar is the nearest Railway station to Mana. From Haridwar Mana is 319 km away by road via NH 7. You can easily take a bus and taxi from Haridwar to Mana Village.

BY ROAD- The easiest way to go via road to Mana Village is via NH 58 which go through Haridwar, Rishikesh to Badrinath and Joshimath. From Badrinath Mana is just 4 km away.

Visiting the last village of India itself a great experience. Visiting Mana Village gives a feeling of some kind of achievement. :)
