AN ACT OF TRAVEL TO THE BLUE CITY OF INDIA, JODHPUR

Just 10 months back I traveled to Jodhpur with my friends on a small trip. The city is known as the "Sun City" for the bright and sunny weather it enjoys all the year round and set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert.

The old city circles the fort and is bounded by a wall with several gates. Jodhpur is also known as the "Blue City" because of the blue colours that decorate many of the houses in the old city area. However, the city has expanded greatly outside the wall over the past several decades.

For food lovers it is a heaven, a number of dishes from Indian cuisine originated in Jodhpur, such as Makhaniya Lassi, Mawa Ki Kachori, Pyaaj Ki Kachori (kachori of onion), Hot & Spicy Mirchi Bada, Dal Bati Churma, Lasan Ki Chutney (special gravy of garlic), Ker Sangri Sabzi, Raab, Lapsi, Aate Ka Halwa and many more.

We traveled around 450 km in car from Banswara in Rajathan to reach Jodhpur, was hell lot of fun.

Already Jodhpur is very famous tourist spot and many movies sequences like that of The Dark Knight Rises , The Djarjeeling Limited and many Indian movies have also been shot here. Their are many historical monuments in Jodhpur which are also a major attraction for tourist. If you ever have an opportunity do visit Jodhpur and enjoy in theBlue city.
