Vacation, a word that we all work towards. It's the dream we have to justify our endless efforts in life. The feelings it creates are usually those of great times and enjoyment. However, I think it's good to be realistic with what traveling actually entails.
When we travel some place new, sometimes we believe it will be devoid of challenges and problems. But, this is further from the truth. In reality, being on vacation is not so much sitting on a beach enjoying a margarita, but experiencing new avenues of adventure. It is these adventures that challenge us and end up causing long-term satisfaction.
How exhilarating it is to go explore a new continent or location. Whether adapting to the new environment, or trying to cross the language barriers; we are challenged in many ways. We endure the new set of problems and take with us experience.
Is it not experience that life is all about? Creating stories and sharing it with friends or loved ones? Do we work our entire lives just to fill an empty casket, not leaving behind a legacy? These are the questions of life and I believe traveling fills that gap through being filled with experiences. Thus, facing challenges along the way actually end up pushing us further ahead in our lives. Let's not avoid them, but embrace them!
Let's end this discussion with a famous saying. "No pain, no gain!"
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and I wish you all well on your journeys!

Hi John, it is nice to meet you on Steemit, I noticed you recently joined the blockchain, I visited your website, it looks so amazing photography.
Completely agree with your point of view, like us, we love to stay in a bungalow and do everything for us when on holiday rather than to be in hotel, explore the surroundings and get our impression. Lovely post, by the way we have @art-venture project that on and off runs Photo contest. Would be nice if you could join the future contest too :)
