Aloha! Today I would like to take you on a walk with me along a scenic route that is a wrap-around of Diamond Head. It is one of the most popular; must do, for our visiting peeps to the island of Oahu. From start to finish, it is no more than three miles long. However, it can get very warm, so please bring some water and wear sunglasses or a hat. So, let's go!
At the very end of Waikik, right after the zoo is the beautiful, well maintained Diamond Head park. I think this huge banyan tree is so beautiful with all the vine hanging and intertwined. 
From the park, take a right along the paved road, you will come to a residential area with many easy access to the beach. 
I can never get enough of that gorgeous view. As we walk up a slight incline, the lighthouse awaits us. 
As we keep walking up a slight incline, here is a beautiful surfing spot. Compared to the ginormous waves at North Shore, this spot is much more tame and is great for novice surfers. Enjoy! 
Well, I must share a couple of folks that made me smile on this walk. Oh no! That's not cake make-up! 😜 This gentleman is lattered up on sunscreen before hitting the wave. 
And this gentleman is still having a garage sale just like the last week I walked by. 
Ok, we have passed the half-way point and is now heading toward Diamond Head monumental district park. If you decide to hike Diamond head crater, then this is the entrance. Please note that you can walk, take the trolley or even take the bus here. If you drive, there is parking and hiking fee. I think it's $2. 
Alright! Now we are heading down baby! Down monsaratt avenue, there are plenty of small kine restaurants to grab a bite to eat or just relax for a bit. And the good part is that it's a slight decline, making that walk so much easier. 
Voila!!! Congratulation! We are back to where we started. We are finish with our beautiful scenic route walk along Diamond Head! I hope you find this blog exciting and informative should you one day decide to visit this beautiful island of Oahu. Aloha!
