Aloha

Today I'd like to introduce you to Makapu'u beach park or as the locals calls it Baby Mak; because of it's small size. This beach is located on the south side of Oahu island. It's exact location is 41-19 Kalanianaole highway in Waimanalo. From the first photo you call somewhat see the highway right above this beach, along the mountain. This beach is kids friendly and is a great body-boarding spot because of its' shallow, strong currents. It's right below Makapu'u Lighthouse hike and from these photos you can definitely see the lighthouse from here. This beach park has a nice clean bathroom and paved parking spots for your convenience. Please enjoy the views...

Red flags as warning of very strong currents. And a lifeguard post with lifeguards on duty daily.

Here's is the bathroom. And the steps leading up and down the bathroom looks pretty cool, IMHO...

So the next time to happen to visit Honolulu, Hawaii and decided to venture out to Makapu'u lighthouse hike, do drive downward for less than a quarter of a mile to check out this small but beautiful beach. Of course, there are many other beaches along Kalanianaaole highway for your enjoyment.

Until we meet again, have a wonderful day.

Aloha!

You live in a dream world.

Thank u @doctorjohn. The story of how I got here was nothing but a leap of faith...well worth it.

Leaps of faith make fantastic stories!

You very lucky living on beautiful island, happy long time

Thank u very much.

Do you come to this beach often? Is it usually crowded?

I would assume with the small size it would always be crowded.. unless it's a "hidden" location where most tourists don't often travel!

Aloha sir! It's not crowded at all because of what you'd just speculated. It's great for locals but tourists do stop by but only briefly because it's not ideal for swimming. They like to look and move on to look some more some where else's.

I think it's hard for tourists to just chill and flow with nature. U know...they want someone to bring food and cocktails services
