During my 3 week travel to Thailand in 2014 i also visited the iconic Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok, which is located on the Thonburi side. The temple was built in the 17th century on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The full name is Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan but it is often called as the Temple of Dawn. I also climbed the central prang but when i visited Bangkok 2016 again there was restoration work on the Temple and climbing was not possible any more.
Stunning view of the Chao Phraya River and the Grand Palace from the Wat Arun Temple
