This is the beautiful view you get from a little balcony at Quinta Dos Espinheiros. There you can rent a beautiful holiday home in a beautiful area just a 15 minutes drive away from the Douro. I can really recommend this place.
When you arrive, a lovely lady gives you a tour through the house and invites you to taste some of her delicious wines and port, made from the grapes that grow around you. After you've unpacked your luggage, you can take a seat on the balcony and enjoy the view while gets better and better as the sunset approaches.
In this picture the sun was low enough to cast shadows at the sides of the hills, but still high enough to light up the rest of the hills. I created a few pictures, but because of my limited equipment (just a smartphone) I couldn't catch all of the beauty of this view. I would really recommend that you pass by this place when the opportunity arises.

This is a viewpoint in Pinhão. This picture only managed to capture a small portion of the beauty this viewpoint has.
