The Kalka-Shimla railway route is one of Shimla's historical heritage sites. The whole 114 years have been completed for this heritage. Kalka-Shimla World Heritage Track 103 tunnels, 102 bridges and 96 kilometers journey. Something similar is the Kalka-Shimla World Heritage Track. This world heritage rail route, which starts from Kalka, leads the hills from the mountains and winding mountains to the queens of the hills till Shimla.
On 9th November 1903, this railway route was started. This railway track has always been the center of attraction for tourists. Everyday thousands of tourists enjoy beautiful scenes of nature and travel on it. This bridge attracts the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Track Tourist, which passes through 102 bridges and four-storeyed stone arch bridge and charming valleys. The construction work of the Kalaka-Shimla railway track began in 1898. During that time, a budget of 86 lakh 78 thousand rupees was set for its construction, but during the completion of the construction the budget increased more than doubled. The responsibility to complete this project was given to British Chief Engineer HS Herlington. On November 9, 1903, Viceroy Lord Curzon launched it.
