Santa Barbara Waterfront and Stearns Wharf

in travel •  5 years ago

Hi Steemit Friends,

I have given up! The clouds seem to be hanging around everywhere I go on this trip. I made a rest stop at the Santa Barbara Waterfront so I can explorer and check out Stearns Wharf. I also need to visit the bathroom so it was a good place to spend a short period of time. Parking was relatively easy like many places in the USA. As seen from the map, the waterfront is really just the part looking out but most people will go out to the wharf with more things to see.

The wharf was long and have a nice view of the water on both sides. As you walk along, you see different signs and plagues all there for a reason. There was a sign to warn people going to the deck barefoot or wearing heels due to the nails, splinters, uneven deck path gaps between the planks on the wharf. I thought it was a nice sign but not a good place to put it or make it bigger right at the front of the wharf so people can take notice.

As I continue along there are some shops and restaurants. The view around the wharf was nice but shame on the clouds. As I was leaving, I saw a man making a sand sculpture by the seas. I stood there for a good 15 minutes to see how he made the sculpture but at the same time trying to kill time before I head to the next stop.
