Hello Steemians !
Last but not the least, we did the London Dungeon. It was the last thing we did there and right after we jumped on the train back to Belgium. I heard about this place from a friend who went to London last year and he told me that it was very special and that there is a great atmosphere.
I'll try to explain what it is, it's not really a museum but more like an attraction, still, I learn some stuff there. It's a very well done mix between the two. So the idea is that you go for about 2 hours with a small group of 20 persons and do all the visit with them. Another thing to mention is that the visit is separated into rooms with a special theme, actor and atmosphere. It's great because you're not spoiled by people doing the visit before you, you're part of a group and you all live the "action" at the same time !
Since the beginning, they put you just in the right mood, you start with a classic photo that you can buy for a lot of money at the end but the women doing it yells at you if you do not follow her instructions correctly. For example, the couple in front of us put a foot in a room where he mustn't and get yelled at directly. I almost forgot to tell you, it's quite obvious but the costumes and the setting are simply amazing ! Even if you know they are all actors, they still managed to make you travel back in time with their accent and great stories.
During our visit, we had a lot of different theme like the great fire of London, the plague, a baker who makes pies with human's meat, and of course Jack the Ripper. Once again, the actors are really amazing and know what they're doing ! We had a really good time there.
I hope you like this series of post about my trip, I'll continue my beer review and make more post about go.
Tell me what you think in the comment and see you tomorow !
I've been to the London Dungeon as well. I thought it was going to be a scary experience and I was disappointed that it was all just history story-telling, though it was in a humorous way. I wouldn't really recommend it, unless you're interested in history :)
I also like to share my travel photos on my blog, please follow me @raisinbran if you're interested! I haven't shared things on London yet though!
