The May full moon poya day or Vesak is the utmost significant spiritual festivity in Sri Lanka, where Buddhists celebrate the nativity, enlightenment and passing away of Lord Buddha with various festivities.


Sri Lankans of each religion crowd the streets to enjoy Vesak decorations comprising pandals and lanterns.
