Whats up people? Today we will take a small tour round Iligan City. Lets take a walk!
Iligan city is a part of Lanao del Norte and it is located at the south part of the Philippines. It is a small city but his economic status is brilliant. Iliganons compose of the Cebuano speaking locals and the minority that compose of the Maranao, Tagalog and some other cultural minorities and immigrants from other places. Climate here is fine, mostly sunny because we seldom experience strong weather due to its geographical location and also because of the mountains that are surrounds the city.
Anyways our city is described as "City of Majestic Waterfalls", you know why? obviously because of the numerous waterfalls within its area. There are 24 waterfalls in the city, whaaaaaat? 😲 and the most well known is the Maria Christina Falls. This falls sometimes called a "twin falls" the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall. It is a famous landmark here in our city and is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries. You can't actually go near the falls because it is prohibited by the local government, but it's still amazing from far.
Also one of the best falls is the Tinago falls. Tinago means "hidden" and it is well preserved by the local government to improve the local attractions in the city. I don't know how deep is it, but I can assure you it way too deep but you can rent a life jacket by the way (for safety). Tinago has 300-step staircase to get through😂 until you experience its beauty!!
300-step staircase
Another scenic falls is the Mimbalot falls. The most accessible falls of them all because Mimbalot falls is few kilometers away from the main road which means you will not worry about passengers vehicle if want to go home. Mimbalot falls is and eco-park that caters different activities like zip line, rock climbing, walking in there hanging bridge and also they have swimming pools for adults and children. Mimbalot falls has an entrance fee of 50 pesos around $1 only and you can enjoy there attractions and most specially the Mimbalot Falls.

The thing i love in Iligan City is the cost of living, it is not expensive and life in here is simple. Food? 👌.. everything is fresh from vegetables, fish and meat. There are a lot of restaurants also in the city. Accommodation or place to stay? affordable and accessible too. I suggest you visit our place or someday if you find it interesting.
