I mounted a GoPro to the Tuk Tuk to give a birds eye view of what it is like to drive a tuk tuk around the streets of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
There really seems to be no rules to the road. Everyone drives where they want; on the wrong side of the street or on the sidewalk.
Everyone uses their horn to communicate to other drivers. Usually the driver who makes it to an intersection first and blows their horn gets the right of way.
As crazy and chaotic as it is, I have only seen one traffic accident in Phnom Penh and it was only a slight fender bender.
Local tuk tuk rides cost anywhere from 1 to 2 dollars. Always ask the driver how much the ride will cost and negotiate a price before getting into the cart. If a tuk tuk driver wants too much and won't come down on price go to the next tuk tuk driver. Tuk tuks are abundant in Phnom Penh.
