Finally, I was able to meet a Malay who speaks a little Filipino but out of privacy I did not video that. She spoke words “Marunong ako ng konti lang” “Pwede” “Sarap” which she learned from other Filipino’s she met here.
This malay was a waitress in a restaurant we ate at night before heading to the homestay we booked through during Airbnb. We stayed near Kinabagan(?) river with a Malay family who hosts us (the mother was the host and the one who entertained us)
Her and my dad talked where I heard she regularly does this with about 9 people being the most staying in one day. The peak season is usually from June to September since it’s the summer break for those in Britain, the U.S. and etc.
