I took a similarly vintage train from Tokyo to Kamakura in 2015. They're really something, aren't they?

I didn't know that there are such kind of special tourist trains, but good to know. Those trains look so cute and warm. Imagining listening to some comfy music while the landscape slowly drifts away, hopping from one lovely station to another. Pure feel-good-trip (´･ω･`)

I love trains as well. I find them more comfortable than buses. I love the green train color and the fish :) And the old man is doing a difficult job, but he is happy and friendly. Thats all what matters. Thank you for sharing this experience with. Nice photos :)

We love trains too! Being able to see both city and countryside and all it's changes in between. The experiences varies from survival mode on dodgy overnight trains to kicking it back in luxury first class (we've been told this exists, but we never experienced this 😋). Getting memories of our Inter railing trip around Central Europe now...
