Hello friends Steemans! Today I bring you some excellent options so you can enjoy spending your Christmas Eve in style in the most beautiful cities of the world. 2017 is leaving us and it is time to welcome the new year. If you still do not know where you are going to spend New Year's Eve we offer you a few options where it is celebrated in a spectacular way. Fireworks, light shows and concerts under the stars and some of the attractions that accompany these cities in such a special celebration.
MADRID - SPAIN
The clock of the Puerta del Sol is the most famous mechanism in Spain, which marks the start of a new year for the great majority of Spaniards, since a large part of the country's television stations are located there to broadcast the twelve chimes. You can also do it on the 30th to eat the 'preuvas', a classic to which more and more people are joining. If you have marked good intentions for 2018, you can always do the San Silvestre and start with a good start.
New York - United States
Since 1907, the great "ball" of the New York Times square has descended, marking the start of a new year for those who fervently follow the largest celebration in the United States. The party to say goodbye to the year that is going begins no less than seven hours before during which you can see musical performances of celebrities of first level before a rain of almost a ton of confetti falls on the heads of almost one million of people who congregate in the square.
Christmas in New York is very special, the atmosphere is indescribable: you will be impressed by the countless lights and magical decorations. For Americans it is an important date, and it is seen in the enthusiasm with which they decorate their houses.
LONDON - ENGLAND
From the South Bank, next to the well-known London Eye, you can watch with more than 500,000 people the incredible fireworks display over the Thames and Big Ben when the new year has begun. The end of the year party in the British capital lasts until late at night but if you decide to start 2017 without stopping to celebrate, you can not miss the New Year's Day Parade, a great New Year's parade in which the best musicians, dancers and acrobats roam the streets of the city. The city counts, as it could not be less, with numerous parties if you prefer to spend the night in a typical English pub or in a more crazy party.
SYDNEY - AUSTRALIA
Sydney, the largest and most populous city in Australia, has been illuminated with a sea of colors for Christmas and with large-scale video projections.
The facade of the Cathedral of Santa María, built with arsenic stone, became a backdrop of 75 meters for a collage called 'Christmas Lights'.
The fireworks show of the Australian city is one of the most impressive on the planet and the image of the celebration of the New Year with an illuminated Opera House and a beautiful bay as a backdrop has been around the world on many occasions. Although there are several previous pyrotechnic sessions, the most spectacular is the one that says goodbye to the year and lasts about fifteen minutes adorning the sky of Sydney with all kinds of fire figures.
PARIS - FRANCE
A Parisian evening at the end of the year is the equivalent of a festive night in the Champs-Élysées, in the heart of the city. Here you can say goodbye to 2017 and see the lighting of the Eiffel Tower from several points. Or from the Arc de Triomphe, another of the mythical places to say loudly: Bonne année!
Finish your New Year's Eve at the Feast of St. Sylvester, crowned by the iconic Eiffel Tower, which on December 31 looks prettier than ever with the fireworks in the background.
RIO DE JANEIRO - BRAZIL
Brazil is undoubtedly one of the most exotic places to celebrate the end of the year. Get dressed in white (the color of luck) and go to the beach to dance to the sound of the drums in the acclaimed Reveillon, the multitudinous Rio party in which spectacular fireworks and good music are more than assured. Do as the tradition dictates: eat seven grapes this time, throw flowers into the sea, enter it and jump three consecutive waves so that next 2017 comes loaded with boa sorte.
