🔮 Visiting Yuan-Dao Guanyin Temple: What's My Fortune with Steemit? 🔮

I went to visit the Yuan-Dao Guanyin Temple with my family. Traditionally, in Buddhist temples, you can ask a question to Buddha, and he will tell you your fortune by drawing sticks. This was my first time getting my fortune read. First, I had to think about my question, and then ask it Buddha.

Here my family is praying at the temple.

There are three bins filled with long sticks. Each stick has a number on it. You randomly draw a stick out.

Next you pick up two wooden stones. Once your stick has been picked, you throw the stones on the ground. If one stone is facing up and the other stone if facing down, you know that the stick you drew has the correct number. If the stones are both facing up or both facing down, you draw another stick. You do this with all three bins, until you end up with three numbers.

Once you have all three numbers, you go to this cabinet, and match up your numbers with the correct slot. In the slot, you will receive your fortune, and it will tell you the outcome to your question.

I asked Buddha, if I would be able to have a sustainable life continuing to do Steemit and working for my self. My fortune, was promising, as it said that what I am currently doing will make me very happy and allow me to live a fulfilled life. It will provide me with enough to do everything that I want to do in my life! It was pretty neat to hear the good news about being a full-time Steemit blogger!
