UK Visa Fees 2019/20: Nationality and Immigration Charges

This relates to Home Office Fees 2019/20 for Immigration and Nationality Charges effective from March 29, 2019. Perhaps, there are no significant changes in the charges apart from a 2–3% increase in 6 months, 2, 5 and 10 years visitor visa applications.

ILR, Naturalisation and Citizenship Fees

Accordingly, indefinite leave to remain (ILR) fees will remain at the present level of £2,389. Moreover, leave to remain application will cost £1,033. Similarly, the British citizenship fees will be £1,206 and Naturalisation Fees will be £1,330, inclusive of £80 ceremony fee.

UK Standard Visitor Visa Fee

The UK visa fees for 6 months standard visitor visa will increase from £93 to £95. Moreover, the charges for 2, 5 and 10 years applications will increase from £350, £636 and £798 to £361, £655 and £822, respectively.

Visiting Academic Visa Applications

The price of visiting academic visa for more than 6 months but less than 12 months will increase by 2.15%. Accordingly, after an escalation of £4, the price of visiting academic visa will increase from £186 to £190.

Medical Treatment Visa Applications

The application fee for more than 6 months but less than 11 months private medical treatment visa will increase by 2.15%. Therefore, after an escalation of £4, the application cost for a medical visa will increase from £186 to £190.

Marriage Visitor Visa Fee

The application fee for a 6-month marriage visitor visa will increase by 2.15%. Accordingly, after an escalation of £2, the cost of the application will increase from £93 to £95.

Permitted Paid Engagement Visa

The application fee for the permitted paid engagement visa will increase by 2.15%. Accordingly, after an escalation of £2, the cost of the application will increase from £93 to £95.

Chinese Tour Group

The application fee under Chinese Tour Group (ADS) will increase from £93 to £95.

Startup and Innovators: UK visa fees 2019

The UK visa fees for entry clearance applications under two new routes i.e. Innovator and Start-up will cost £1,021 and £363, respectively. Moreover, a Council of Europe Social Charter (CESC) discount of £55 applies for the main applicant under both the categories.

Transit Visa Applications

There will be no increase in transit visa fees. Accordingly, the fee for direct airside and landside transit visa will remain at £35 and £64, respectively.

UK Settlement Visa Fee

There will be no increase in the cost of settlement applications. Accordingly, the UK spouse visa fees will remain unchanged at £1,523. And also the fee for the fiancé(e), civil, unmarried and same-sex partner, parent, and dependant child visa application under Appendix FM will remain at £1,523. Moreover, the UK settlement visa fee for other dependants (Adult Dependent Relative) will continue to be £3,250 per applicant. The settlement visa fee for a refugee dependant relative will remain at £388.

Cost of spouse visa application with priority service

The new UK spouse visa fee with priority service will be £2,096/- i.e. UK spouse visa fee £1,523 plus the UK settlement priority service fee £573.

Students and short-term study

The new UK visa fees for Tier 4 Students and their dependants will remain at £348. Moreover, there will be no increase in the short-term study (aka student visitor) visa fees. Accordingly, the price of short-term study (up to 6 months) for adult and child will continue to remain at £97. The cost of short-term study visa for studying the English language for more than 6 months but not more than 11 months will be £186.

Tier 1 Entrepreneur and Investor

There will be no change in Home Office Fees for Points Based System Applications Made outside the UK. Accordingly, the fee for Tier 1 Entrepreneur entry clearance applications will remain at £1,021. Likewise, Tier 1 Investor application fee will remain at the present level of £1,623. Moreover, the fee for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent initial and subsequent application will remain at £152 and £608 respectively. And the fee for the approval letter in respect of the initial application will continue to be £456. The application fee for Tier 1 exceptional talent dependants will also remain unchanged at £608.

Closure of Tier 1 Entrepreneur and Graduate Entrepreneur Routes

The Tier 1 entrepreneur will close for new entry clearance applications from March 29, 2019. And Tier 1 Graduate entrepreneur will close from July 6, 2019. Accordingly, the Innovator visa UK under Appendix W has replaced Tier 1 entrepreneur. Moreover, the UK start-up visa will replace the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur route from July 6, 2019.

Tier 2 Application Charges

There will be no increase in any type of Tier 2 visa fee from outside the UK. Accordingly, the application fees for Tier 2 General, Tier 2 Intracompany Transfer – LT Staff, Tier 2 Sportsperson and Tier 2 Minister of Religion, where a certificate of sponsorship has been issued for a period of three years or less will remain at £610. Moreover, the fees for Tier 2 General and ICT – Long Term Staff for more than three years will remain at £1,220.

Tier 2 ICT Graduate Trainee

Apparently, the application fees for Tier 2 ICT Graduate Trainee will remain unchanged at £482.

Tier 2 General Shortage Occupation

The UK visa fees for Tier 2 General shortage occupation will remain unchanged at £464 and £928 where a certificate of sponsorship has been issued for a period of three years or less and 3 years or more, respectively.

UK Visa Fees 2019 for Tier 5 Temporary Worker

The fees for Tier 5 Temporary Worker will remain unchanged at £244.
