I have never gone to Yen Tu before. I touched the most sacred of the "land of Buddha" with my colleagues. It brings me different levels of emotions. I spent a day to explore the Yen Tu Pagoda, enjoy the feeling of gentle, calm.
Yen Tu is the place to return, go away from the worries, where my soul wanders with mountains, streams. More than 700 hundred years, the bamboo forest is still there, the pine trees are still here, and the ancient trees are still blooming fragrant flowers.
Yen Tu includes a system of pagodas, shrines, towers and ancient forests combined with natural scenery, scattered from the red slope to Yen Tu mountain in Thuong Yen Cong, Uong Bi town, Quang Ninh province, about 40 km from Ha Long city, about 14 km from Uong Bi town. Yen Tu is attracted by the wonderful beauty with the folk features of the holidays, easy road and have lots of big festivals in year.
Yen Tu with me is an endless space to help me find myself - a sacred romantic place. The historic site of Yen Tu are an invaluable asset in the treasure of the nation's long-standing cultural heritage, which is the most profound evidence of the cultural characteristics, origins and traditions. The struggle to build the country, to preserve the mighty and great country of the Vietnamese nation, is also a component of the cultural heritage of humanity.
Last sunday, it took us 3 hours to Yen Tu moutain from Ha Noi capital by my boss's car. The weather in Ha noi was beautifull but in Quang Ninh, it had small rain, dense fog. The scene looked unclear, very dim. The temperature is very low.
Before climbing to the pagoda in mountain peek, we stopped at tent to eat boilled corn, drink water of boilled corn. Its very good. We bought 5 cable car's round-trip tickets. The price was about 13$/ticket.
The entire cable car system connect the terminal to go to top of Yen Tu mountain, technical area , operator, and other ancillary works.
If you take the cable car, you should buy all two routes. The first cable car is only up to An Ky Sinh statue, you still have to climb trail about 200m. The way that most people go to climb the Dong Pagoda and then buy a cable car down, do not buy the cable car in the middle of the road because of expensiveness. Route 1 is Giai Oan stream - Hoa Yen pagoda. Route 2 is One roof pagoda - An Sinh statue.
We had to climb a mountain far from the cable car to each temple. Every time we were tired, we standed to rest and continue the journey. Due to fog and rain, you moved carefully, slowly step by step. The sidewwalk covered green moss and was slippery.
Some famous places:
Trinh Temple: where to visit before going to Yen Tu.
Yen Tu Monastery: a place for monks and lay people to study. Like a university, this is not a place of worship, but you can visit the tour before climbing.
Oan Bridge Oan, Oan Temple: the place where worship women, concubines of King Tran Nhan Tong. Because of too loving the king, they want to go to the mountains, beg the king to return to court, they lay down themselves to the stream of suicide.
Hoa Yen Pagoda: central pagoda, largest Yen Tu relic. Hoa Yen Pagoda was the place where the Buddha taught.
One Roof Pagoda: where worship Buddha Avalokitesvara, there is a slot for drinking water very cool.
Van Tu Pagoda: where practice of the monks.
An Sinh statue and the statue of King Tran Nhan Tong: a stone statue and a huge bronze Buddha statue.
Dong Pagoda: where locate at the highest peak of the mountain.>
After the trip, I was back to nature, with fresh air, feeling really awesome.
