Farewell Flight Airberlin

Germany is losing it's second carrier Airberlin due to their bankruptcy. I have been using Airberlin on flights to the US and Asia on a monthly basis and I am very sad that Airberlin is going away. Of course Lufthansa and the German government colluded and the carrier is mostly absorbed by Lufthansa

On my flight to the Oktoberfest I had my last Airberlin flight. Airberlin finally filed for bankruptcy as the owner Etihad did not subsidize the Airline anymore. I hope that all employees will find a new job soon. The Lounge was pretty empty and there were not newspapers or magazines anymore.

Did you ever fly Airberlin ???

Nice..

must a good reason to that. Nice bro

its called hostile takeover by big corporations , their is nothing they would have done lufthansa is big and government owned so the they couldn't compete since they are budget airline

Great post @knozaki2015

Oh luckily i had the chance to fly AirBerlin earlier this year

My only rival is Virgin airlines. ^_^

I never flew AirBerlin, but I saw their planes everywhere, every time I go to Europe to visit family... seemed they served a lot of holiday destinations, especially.

Interesting this coming so close on the failure of Monarch airlines.

Sorry for all the employees. It's frustrating, I would be sad at first. Quickly come to his senses and act. Probably many of them have families and mortgages, requiring payments. It is tragic that ordinary people suffer. I wish them to find new interesting work soon.

not fly in that but it looks really amazing

Great shots my friend @knozaki2015 !

Sounds pretty bad for you as you kind of liked it.
And not to worry you will find sth better :)

We tried to fly them once but they cancelled our flight a week before our trip which meant last minute scrambling to find another flight (or accept the 18 hour replacement trip the offered with 2 small kids for a flight within Europe.)
