Sony NC Headset

Since I started traveling a lot I am using my Bose Headset with Noice Cancellation. If you never heard of Noice Cancellation, the Headphones have a mic and pick up ambient noise and send out a white signal to cancel the disturbing sound of turbines etc. I have owned very pair of Bose but my friend showed me his MDR-1000 on a flight, so I decided to order these.

The Sony did receive fantastic reviews and was ranked even better than the excellent QC-35 by Bose so I was excited to use them on my flight. The Sony NC Headset has some cool features like (Bluetooth) and you can adjust the sound directly with invisible buttons on the on ear cup. So far so good...

After a while I realized that the Headset suddenly turned itself off. What was going on? After googling the headset I found some reviews that the Idiots at Sony have programmed this fantastic Headset in a way that it turns off the Headset after 5 Minutes if you don't connect a cable or bluetooth device to your Headset.

This is really bad as you usually want to use the headset in a plane where your airplane is in flight modus (so no bluetooth) and you don't want to use a cable to your headset if you are trying to sleep with the headset on, so you don't strangle yourself with a cable.

So @sony if you ever read this roll out a firmware update to fix this issue. Without fixing it you will see a lot returns of this excellent Headset.

Which Headset are you using ???

@knozaki2015 - Aww. That sucks. I was looking at the Sony and it seemed fantastic but it is sad that, like many good electronic gadgets these days, the hardware potential is totally ruined by idiotic programming. I think I will stick to my Bose headphones. I bought them 3-4 years ago and they are still going great.
Thanks for this heads up on the Sony earphones. Upvoted.

wonderfull headsets sony give also better headsets and woofers i try many time and these are also attractive hope it give a better and soft sound @knozaki sir

sony has been in the head phones business for a while and have great headphone, i switched recently to beats solo 2 and they were good but found myself back to sony , they have a feel to them that is unique and love the sound experience

goes to show you cant really trust reviews of these products coz sometimes they are paid reviews

well I get paid too, but in a way that I dont need to get paid by sony to write fake reviews ;) the blockchain pays me ;)

私はBOSEが好きでBOSEのスピーカーやヘッドフォンを持っていますが
ヘッドフォンに関してはBOSEでなくてもいいなという
見解になりました💡
SONY良さそうですね♪

looks a great buy and its wireless too so definitely up on my wishlist :)

Nice headsets looks an awesome purchase :)
