#READYSETJET CHALLENGE #6 ~ AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey Steemit! 💋

As some of you know I started the #READYSETJET challenge last month and am still VERY keen to see where you fabulous lot have been! Please note that it doesn't have to be anywhere abroad, it can be near or far - your choice! Or somewhere you would like to visit/something you would like to, or have experienced whilst there!

I think it would be great to learn more about the beauty in the world and inspire one another about where to go, and to simply indulge in others journeys.

Ok, so on that note I would like to share with you somewhere I have ALWAYS been eager to go to, and to do LOTS of wonderful things whilst there...

There's sooo many places I would like to visit here, too many to mention so I will narrow it down a little.... she says hesitantly hahaha!

The Great Barrier Reef

🐠🐋🐡🦈

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Queensland in northeastern Australia, is the largest living thing on Earth, and even visible from outer space. The 2,300km-long ecosystem comprises thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands made of over 600 types of hard and soft coral. It's home to countless species of colourful fish, molluscs and starfish, plus turtles, dolphins and sharks.

Wow! That is just incredible! It looks truly beautiful! I would LOVE to dive in amongst the sea life and be able to say that I experienced something so magical. For some more information and great tips click here but be warned, it will definitely leave you with an 'Aussie feeling'! I for one can't stop listening to this track...

Always makes me want to grab a pint of fosters, put on my cork hat (yes I do have one!) and be on my way to the land down under! Hahaha ;)

Sydney

🌹🌹🌹

Sydney, capital of New South Wales and one of Australia's largest cities, is best known for its harbourfront Sydney Opera House, with a distinctive sail-like design. Massive Darling Harbour and the smaller Circular Quay port are hubs of waterside life, with the arched Harbour Bridge and esteemed Royal Botanic Garden nearby. Sydney Tower’s outdoor platform, the Skywalk, offers 360-degree views of the city and suburbs.

I've always loved the idea of climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge! I know of people who have, and have seen some spectacular photos and the views at the top were just stunning! I would think of myself as a bit of a thrill seeker, and love the adrenaline! I think the most thrilling thing I have ever done is a shark cage dive when in South Africa! Wow was I nervous but hid it well I think ;) Except I discovered I got sea sick once the engine of the boat was off and we were rocking with the tide... Anywaaaay... the Sydney Harbour Bridge!! Lol!

And for those who enjoy a thrill...

Who wouldn't!! ;) Oh and not forgetting the famous Sydney Opera house, that looks fantastic at night, all lit up and ready to entertain! They project all kinds of lighting onto the house for different occasions and it really makes it come alive! I know this to be true because wait for it... I've seen pictures hahaha! And as much as I would LOVE these pictures to be mine, they are in fact courtesy of Google! Lol
