Hello dear steemit friends, today I'm gonna share with you how we traveled by train in Africa.

During our journey in Africa, basically we have taken the train all the way, from Mozambique to Zimbabwe, until Tanzania, East Africa.

The train we have taken in Zimbabwe was built during the British colonial time, the train has been kept same as before, it has sleeping compartments and a restaurant, it's comfortable enough, but it was super slow.

The brown wooden carriages of the train had stale taste, the faded door number had an ambiguous atmosphere, there were cracks on the floor, make people feel that the old colonial dream has become a bubble.
At night the first-class carriages were empty, it was so silent and mysterious. Because of the full moon, the night sky looked so bright and starless. The scene made me associated with the old British film, A lonely young lady followed her husband went to the African hinterland, at night she dressed in silk pajamas walking in the dark aisle of the train carriages, and she came across with a young gentleman, a gentleman because inadvertently crashed into each other, the young man took of his cap to apologize, that moment the spark of the love is lighted in a flash.

The train all the way through the vast desolate plains of Africa, all the regions are sparsely populated, but there were numerous wild animals, we have even seen an wild elephant family walking in the distance. When the train stopped in front of the village, we saw that every cottage is surrounded by wooden palisade, probably it's for keeping aways from the wild animals.

In the evening, the setting sun fell down perpendicularly to the vast land, the twilight is spreading and the land is boundless, in the end the sun is gradually sinking below the red horizon.

We also have taken the train from Zambia to Tanzania, it's a quite famous travel route in East Africa, the train was built by Chinese and contributed to Zambia. It was new and super comfortable, the train tickets are also cheap, even locals can afford. They also offered food, we ordered fish, but they were not so fresh, after I got serious food poisoning. The journey took us about 48 hours, in the end we all felt so bored, but it's still special traveling experience for us.

By the way, there were no blankets on train, so we had to take by ourself.

Excellent! It's something I want to do here in Australia to enjoy.

I agree with you. Have used the train as well but it's up to you to create fun. Majority of us use third class since that's were fun is. Yeah, the trains are old but old is gold. Not many get the chance to ride on aged trains!

True @gigpen! It's right, third class seats are mostly a lot of fun. We also did this on certain trains. The train from Zambia to Tanzania was a first class, but we still could meet many people. Have a great day!.-)

Great as always ! %100 upvote

Thank you so much @kenan1989:-)

The train looks amazing! Did you spend all 48 hours in the train? This must have been a unique experience :)

Yes we did spend all the 48 hours on the train. Actually in total it was much longer. But it was always exiting and we met a lot of interesting people, so it was always fun!;-)

great pics!

nice

I love train rides, the journey look so wonderful

i think it was super journey ))

I haven't done much travel on trains, except recently in Europe on the fast ones. This looks pretty interesting though- I especially liked your little story about the couple meeting in history. Beautiful photos!

Wow, I love the view that you can see from inside the train. I know this was a great experience.

Great post! Glad I followed you @liflorence up-voted.
