The oldest lake in Ukraine - Shelekhov

Shelekhov lake - hydrological monument of nature of national significance, rare beauty and transparency of the lake, which has an ancient history. According to scientists, it was formed during the ice age.

It is as old as lake Baikal,lake Ladoga, lake Onega and lake Victoria. Huge shifts of the mountain conceals the road melted water and created an ice water bowl area of 7 hectares. To date, the lake has not lost the cold that he had received from a glacier in the inheritance.
