My Ghanaian Experience: The Hibiscus Flower Drink

I have been in Accra, Ghana for a few weeks. And of all the interesting things that I come across on a daily basis, nothing is as unique as the food.
Because it's my first time in West Africa, it has been my first encounter with Hibiscus Flower Drink. Yes, a drink made from flowers, oh my goodness!

I'm sure many of my fellow Zimbabweans would totally relate to my excitement, curiosity and overboard reaction.

So basically the juice is extracted from the flower, then the juice is mixed with either Grape juice or mango or orange juice. A little bit of vodka or whiskey would also add a little 'zhoozh' to the drink.

I am definitely going to plant my own Hibiscus plant when I get back home!
