I am Laura, native from the island of Borneo. However, I am based in bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I first learned about Steemit from a friend, who has not joined yet!! I was literally reading about Steemit in her car while she was driving & I signed up straight away!
And that was 2.5 weeks ago, I didn’t have the chance to #introducemyself properly as I was travelling. Phew, finally got to sit down & post my first one here! I decided to join Steemit because I am a “story sharer” Is there such word? =). I want to share my experiences with the community as well as learning from the community.
I was a former accountant for almost a decade. However, I received ‘the love letter’ from the company 1.5 years ago, which I decided to change path & embarked on the social entrepreneurship journey despite the many challenges.
As a “story sharer”, I used to blog about my travel experiences. Family & friends would asked for travelling tips & advices, I am their researcher & planner for their travel itineraries for ZERO cost! Now that blog is inactive, I was looking out for somewhere I can share my stories!
When I read about Steemit, I was gleeing with excitement because Bitcoin & Steemit is the perfect combination for someone like me.
Today, I am social entrepreneur, animal-lover, concert-goer, avid traveller, food adventurer, nature discoverer, noob to cryptocurrency, passionate about volunteering, women/social empowerment & passive income enthusiast. I hope you will gain insights from these topics.
