The Types Of Travelers You'll Meet While Traveling

Even though as an activity traveling is something loved by all of us, and we all perceive it very differently. Different travelers have different aims during a holiday - some want to soak up in all the sightseeing, some want to go eat all the local cuisine, and some want to just order in room service and sleep. With each trip, we learn a new way of traveling and exploring!

1. The No Hassle Free Spirit
Going with the flow is this traveler's motto that coupled with an outrageous amount of enthusiasm makes this traveler the best kind of travel bud. Be it trying out the local cuisine or hitting the most unconventional parts of the city, this one is up to explore everything and make the most of the vacation. Despite having no plan of action, they often have the best experiences.

2. The Over Planner
Be it a holiday six months away or six weeks away, this traveler is assured to have their tickets and hotel rooms booked well in advance. A comprehensive, pre-planned itinerary is seared into their minds way before they even reach the destination. An absolutely no nonsense traveler, they strictly adhere to the routine they've carefully planned for themselves and any sort of deviation from the plan is not welcomed.

3. The Know it All
Having done extensive research on the city and read all the tour guides, they're the ones ready to bombard you with unnecessary (and often incorrect) facts about everything, from the monuments to the politics to the weather; they're just short of being actual locals. The fact that they took up French in high school obviously means that they're trilingual. Often considered the most annoying type of travelers, they're likely to know so much on account of having visited the area before.

4. The Careful Budgeter
The purse strings are tied tight for this one. From their stay to the very last drink, they have the best deals worked out to fit their budget for the trip. Staying in hostels and biking around the city is no biggie for them, they'd rather rough it out than make that extra expense. Everything must always stick to their carefully planned out budget. There's no chance of buying that extra souvenir or indulging in one more museum tour.

5. The Riding Solo Traveler
These travelers are often the ones in search of themselves. Taking to secluded spots rather than your usual touristy attractions, they prefer exploring on their own than being part of a crowded tourist group or that giggly bunch of girlfriends. They'd choose long walks on their own over exploring the vibrant night life and are at peace at being alone in an unfamiliar place.

6. The Ideal Tourist
Roaming around with their noses buried in maps and tour guides, these travelers will indulge in every single cliche; touristy activity possible. Leaving home means seeing everything, literally everything that the city has to offer. They'll be visiting the most popular places of the city as well as the low-profiled nooks and corners. They will judiciously click pictures with all the monuments to put up on their fridge or wall.

7. The Nature Addict
These travelers feel the most alive when in nature. Their sensory experiences give them utmost satisfaction, be it beaches or the hills, staying indoors is not an option for them. Going on long treks in the picturesque hills and swimming in clear oceans is their idea of fun. They need to be out in the open to truly feel like they're on a vacation and have no qualms about the weather or missing out on the malls.

8. The Cultural Worm
These travelers get out of their homes to soak up all the culture their vacation spot has to offer. They will exhaust every area with a hint of heritage. They love to embrace the local culture and go out of their way to experience the local festivals and traditions.

9. The Photographer
These travelers are constantly on the go with their Gopros and selfie sticks. Everything they do, see, wear and eat on their trip needs to be clicked and instantly uploaded on social media, how else will their followers know they're on vacation? Let's not even get to the selfie addicts who feel that being in a new place suddenly makes their hair and outfits look better, hence taking the unbearable amount of selfies in every spot possible.

10. The Self Indulgent Traveler
Be it more leg room or paying extra for that suite with a view, these travelers have no budgets. They'll opt for staying in the fanciest resorts and eating in the classiest restaurants rather than being stingy with their money. They take their luxury very seriously and intend to give themselves what they feel they deserve. Truly taking to pampering themselves, the phrase 'too much' doesn't really apply to them; they can never get enough of the very best of the best.
