Last weekend I got the opportunity to go to Vulan Festival in the Philippines.
A small music get together that took place on one of the most beautiful island beaches I've see to this day, Cabalete Island.
3 days of diverse people, nice electronic dance vibes, camping under coconut palms, fire shows and local fried fish served on banana leaves :D
To anybody who's staying in Manila or the surrounding area I definitely recommend checking out the local couchsurfing community and keeping an eye out for this great festival, organized aprox. every 2 months.
Hope to see you there!

damn this looks amazing! how far from Manila is it? Have you ever heard of Quest Music Festival in Vietnam? I've been 5 times and it is one of the best festival experiences I have had in SE Asia. They are having another one in November. Check out the link below for more details. One unique element is that it is the only EDM free festival in the region. That means we get loads of folk, reggae, deep house, blues, jazz, funk and any other genre you can think of. If you're like me and you love beats, worry not, there is still plenty of impressive DJs hitting the stages. You should come!

Hey, it was about 4 hours bus ride and 1 hour boat ride.
Quest festival sounds great! I'm actually on the way to vietnam right now, staying until Monday in the hanoi area, do you have any recommendations for a weekend trip?

A weekend trip from Hanoi?! Yes, I do. You must go to Ninh Binh. Its about 3.5 hours by car or bus from the centre of Hanoi. If you go, trust me on this one, YOU MUST STAY HERE. Click on the link below to check this place out. These bamboo bungalows will blow your fucking mind! One of the best places I have ever been to. I just stayed there 2 weeks ago. It was my 3rd time there this year. Everytime I have stayed at the same place. Let me know if you need any other recommendations. I know Vietnam very well. And if you make it down to Saigon hit me up! Thats where I live so I can show you all the good spots lol. Happy trails.
