Hello!
So today's post will highlight a trip I made back in August 2017 to Europe for the very first time! I flew into Frankfurt, Germany originally to start my journey.
The original plan was to take a single train from Frankfurt directly to Lucerne but as fate would have it the train tracks ended up shifting from before and my journey became a little more complicated involving multiple trains and buses (did I mention this was my first time using public transit, 16 hrs into my journey from USA to Europe, did not speak German, 1st time in Europe haha)
Nevertheless I was determined to get to my hotel in Lucerne so off I went !
After almost 24 hrs of travel I finally make it to Lucerne to this beautiful sight... honestly this view made that whole ordeal worth it.
Over the next few days I spent traveling the city and exploring.
Can't forget the delicious (yet pricey) Steak!
I visited the Lion Monument ( Sculpted during the early part of the 19th century, the purpose of the Lion of Lucerne was to commemorate the Swiss Guards who lost their lives in 1792 during the French Revolution.)
From here I took a trip to Mount Pilatus! I had to take a gondola ride up the mountain (6,982′) which was so steep and I am terrified of heights (all the more reason to conquer those fears!)
One of the most break taking views I have yet to experience.
:)
That wraps up my travels to Lucerne! Next post will cover my travels to Paris, France! Luna's Cookies signing out!
