Hello dear community,
today I would like to tell you about my city trip to Bruges. For those who do not know it, this is a small town in Belgium. Also surely known to some from the movie "Bruges see and die" with Colin Farrell.
A two to three day trip is easily enough to explore the pretty little town and look at everything that seems worthwhile. Number one, of course, is the Belfry of Bruges, the city's landmark. The tower was built around 1300 from stone rises majestically above the city and characterizes the cityscape. The view from the top is phenomenal.
But also the city hall, the beer alley and the cathedrals Cathédrale Saint Sauveur de Bruges and Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk are real eye-catchers from the outside as well as from the inside.
Despite the almost 120,000 inhabitants, one always feels like in a small town, which is mainly due to the narrow streets and medieval houses in the old town. A very special experience is also a tour on one of the excursion boats on the canals of the city. From here you have a completely different view of the city. A must-do, especially when the weather is nice! Or would you rather stay on solid ground? Then a round trip in one of the many horse-drawn carriages is a good idea.
And if you are already in Belgium, you must of course try the world-famous Belgian beer, French fries and Belgian chocolate. So the physical well-being is well taken care of. And I must confess, I have never eaten better French fries. And the handmade chocolate pralines are second to none. You have to try them. Simply to melt away.
Then maybe a little shopping frenzy in the many clothing stores and the short trip is already coming to an end.
Really highly recommended and also ideal, for example, as a romantic weekend for couples in love.

heute möchte ich Euch von meinem Citytrip nach Brügge berichten. Für alle die es nicht kennen, das ist ein kleines Städtchen in Belgien. Auch sicher einigen bekannt aus dem Film "Brügge sehen und sterben" mit Colin Farrell.
Ein zwei bis drei Tagestrip reicht locker aus um das schmucke Städtchen zu erkunden und alles anzuschauen, was lohnenswert erscheint. An Nummer 1 kommt natürlich der Belfried von Brügge, das Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Der Turm der um 1300 aus Stein erbaut wurde erhebt sich majestätisch über die Stadt und prägt das Stadtbild. Der Ausblick von oben ist phänomenal.
Aber auch das Rathaus, die Biergasse und die Kathedralen Cathédrale Saint Sauveur de Bruges und Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk sind sowohl von außen als auch von innen wahre Hingucker.
Trotz der knapp 120.000 Einwohner kommt man sich eigentlich immer wie in einem kleinen Städtchen vor, was hauptsächlich an den engen Gassen und mittelalterlichen Häusern in der Altstadt liegt. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis ist auch eine Tour auf einem der Ausflugsboote auf den Kanälen der Stadt. Von hier aus hat man nochmal einen ganz anderen Blick auf die Stadt. Gerade bei schönem Wetter ein Must Do! Oder doch lieber auf festem Boden bleiben? Dann bietet sich eine Rundfahrt in einer der vielen Pferdekutschen an.
Und wer schon einmal in Belgien ist, der muss natürlich auch das weltbekannte belgische Bier, die Pommes Frites und die belgische Schokolade probieren. Für das leibliche Wohl ist also bestens gesorgt. Und ich muss gestehen, bessere Pommes Frites habe ich noch nie gegessen. Und auch die per Handarbeit hergestellten Schokoladenpralinen suchen ihresgleichen. Die muss man probiert haben. Einfach zum Dahinschmelzen.
Dann eventuell noch ein kleiner Shopping-Rausch in den vielen Bekleidungsgeschäften und der Kurztrip neigt sich auch schon wieder dem Ende hingegen.
Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen und auch ideal z.B. als romantisches Wochenende für verliebte Pärchen.
