I'll go to the side of a small hill. There we can see another interesting sight.

I forgot to say that there are a lot of squirrels. They are not shy. Willing to approach people. They are very friendly. Proteins are just everywhere.

In front of us views of the majestic building. This Is The Cameron Gallery. It is named after the architect Charles Cameron.

DSC09650.JPG

This gallery was built in 1784-1787. Empress Catherine II conceived a gallery for walks and philosophical conversations.

We are able here to examine. The gallery stands on the hillside. In the basement of the building incorporated the grotto. You can see it.

Come closer...you Can see the fragments of the old masonry. It has been preserved.

This is the grotto under the stairs of the gallery. Lovers of ancient sculpture can see the statues. They were placed under the arches in the grotto.

The monumental staircase. On it we will climb up to the colonnade.

Two bronze statues-Hercules and Flora. They meet us at the stairs.

Regal power and grandeur are felt everywhere.

The upper tier of the gallery is decorated with bronze busts of idols of the Empress.

DSC09667.JPG

This top tier is still the same as two centuries ago. The gallery is decorated with sculptural collection. A selection of sculptures here is not accidental. It accurately reflects the worldview of the Empress.

Empress Catherine II often walked in the gallery. She was fascinated by the beautiful views that opened out onto the Catherine Park. I can only agree with her. Because we can see a Large pond and a landscape Park.
