In India, especially in Tamilnadu, every temple has an Elephant. These elephants are worshipped as god and people offer fruits, coconuts, rice etc to them. Here is an elephant from Rockfort Temple, Tiruchirappalli. Mahout is feeding the elephant with rice balls like we feed our kids.
