Love letter to Atacama

Dear Atacama,

I knew before that you were pretty, but I first understood how deeply beautiful you are when we first met. In my imagination you looked overall like the moon valley "Valle de La Luna“.

But this was only the first impression. The more I tried to know you, the more interesting sides I found.

You have such an abundant variety.
Soft pink lagoons with wild flamingos.

Hot water springs.
Lakes with crystal clear water.

High sand dunes and perfect sunsets.
Dry wide fields which are completely covered with shimmering salt.

I will never forget driving through your landscape with my love next to me and listening to Calle 13.

We even had first times together. Like the first time seeing geysers.
It was totally worth it to wake up at 5 am and wander through the freezing cold.

I fell so deeply in love with you and I am still dreaming about your beauty. Unfortunately, we are not meant to stay together for a longer time. But I hope to see you again some unexpected day.
