Paneriai Memorial Museum

in travel •  7 years ago

Couple days ago I and my friend @successfulmind visited Peneriai Memorial Museum. Where Nazis in WW2 killed and burned more than 100thousand people half of them had Jewish origins. It is impossible to imagine that in that forest 77 years ago people were doing such things.

As we went to the park we spotted memorial monument that informed us about horrible things done by the Nazi forces from 1941 to 1944.

As we went deeper we saw huge monument build to remember all innocent people that were killed without any reason.

Maybe someone understands Hebrew and could translate it for me?

Unfortunately, museum was closed so we couldn't take pictures from there
