The atmosphere in the countryside turns out to give an impression that is not necessarily comfortable for tourists. Recently, there were tourists who protested that their sleep was disturbed by the crowing of the rooster.

Villages in Spain are starting to open their doors again for tourists, one of which is Ribadesella Village. This village, located in Northern Spain, is a target for tourists because of the rural feel that is still thick.

"Last week we had a woman who was disturbed three or four times by the sound of a rooster waking her up at 5 am," said Ramon Canal, mayor of Ribadesella village, citing The Guardian.

The mayor was not surprised. Because the complaint was not the first from tourists. The female tourist even asked the Mayor of Canal to do something to drown out the sound of chickens in the early hours of the morning.

Instead of defending the tourist, the mayor took action by posting posters throughout the village. The poster also contains an unavoidable rural atmosphere.

"Here we have church bells ringing regularly, roosters crowing in the morning and flocks of cattle living near people's homes. Sometimes cow bells make sounds too," the poster reads.

The purpose of this poster is to bridge the gap

which sometimes gapes between urban and rural life. If tourists can't handle this, then they're not in the right place. The idea for this poster came from a village in the south of France, about 2 years ago, Saint Andre de Valborgne.

The village has 400 residents who are often annoyed by tourists because they like to get angry with bells, cows and chickens. Actually in Ribadesella, there are very few complaints regarding this. However, officials took this opportunity to explain that what they considered a problem was normal.

"Hearing a rooster crowing at night is normal. If you come to a country hotel, you should realize that this is everyday village life," said the mayor.
