I just spent several hours putting together a short video of Lanzarote's outstanding beauty exclusively shot by a DJI Spark drone. Enjoy :-)

Some shots let it look like it is not our earth, but a totally different planet! Sometimes I don't realize how much beautiful nature we have around, our mother earth is beautiful.

May I ask what this circles in the snow are? It looks really unique and interesting! Great video @mcsvi! I would love to see more of your work!

Regards,
Sha

Actually it's no snow - it's black sand - and they grow wine in there shielded from the wind :-)

A colleague bouth a DJI spark last week and I'm amazed of the possibility of this little drone.

I got a drone myself for christmas but it's a bigger low budget race drone (mjx bugs3) and I made some nice footage with my gopro underneath it. Then my colleague walked in and my drone didn't feel as special anymore. It's small, portable, has automatic object tracking, moving camera, ...
It makes me consider to buy one just take it with me on holiday to make a cool after movie :-)

Wow! Excellent footage! The quality is superb! :D.. Had no idea that Lanzarote has these kind of wonderful views! Now I wanna go there soon! :)

Definitely go :D

Nice and smooth shots ... and It's quite interesting that you show parts of the island most people don't know or come to ... Keep up the aerial shootings ! And you can still improve your smoothness at some point ...

Thanks - yes still in the learning phase how to fly it properly :-)

Amazing footage! You're gonna make me buy a drone! :D A friend of mine is originally from lanzarote, I should show him that video.

you should :-)

Great Video. New interesting perspective. You see so much more from the air. I didn't know that Lanzarote had such a steep and high coastline.
I am astonished how smooth the video is. No vibrations or camera shake at all. At the coast there has to be wind, I think. Does the drone have a image stabilizer?

Yes had no idea as well - it's called the Famara cliff in the north-west. yeah it's really almost a miracle how steady the camera is, the Spark has a camera gimbal and it seemed to work even in extreme wind conditions.

Such a drone is really great fun, I think. Now I'm really interested in drones...

Perfect views :)

Absolutely epic scenery! You got great footage.

Breathtaking - what time of the year was it? How come nobody was around you? This makes us want to go to this amazing island.

Nice video @mcsvi - I have a DJI Spark to and LOVE it, having travelled a fair bit with it (though the declaration process in Peru was a nightmare, especially given I was leaving from a city that didn't have an immigration office to stamp the form or return my deposit).

Particularly enjoyed this shot from your video... shows yours was slightly more than the 'typical' visit to Lanzarote! Who knew it was so picturesque?

Thanks :-)

Yes Drone Regulation is painful ;) - Did they require you to register the drone?

The Famara Cliff really is an amazing place, yet hardly known

Agreed - in the long run though I think that it's good they're regulated so that those of us who try to play it safe and by the rules can be allowed to use them properly.

Most countries have been pretty easy about bringing the drone in; Peru you just had to declare/register it at the point of entry, and I didn't even attempt to fly it in Colombia as the rules seemed very strict.

Thanks for the comment - I've dropped you a follow so I can stay in touch and follow your travels; feel free to do the same but only if my content is of interest!
