The Duke of Cambridge has embarked on a tour of the Middle East, arriving in Jordan on Sunday to be greeted by the country's Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in Amman.
On a Middle East tour, Prince William will be the first kingdom to make an official visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories. Kensington Palace said the "historic nature" of the tour was "important".

They also visited the Dar Na'mah Center, part of a charity project set up by Jordanian Princess Taghrid to help orphan girls establish their own livelihoods after they turn 18.
Prince William walked on the red carpet at Luminus Technical University College in Amman.
The princes take a tour of the ancient city of Jerash.
During the visit of the prince to the archaeological site of Jerash, an enlarged photo on display shows Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge as a child with her father on a family vacation.
The princes also posed for photos with Jordanian and Syrian children.

The tour includes the TechWorks fabrication lab.
Prince William also met Jordanians who worked in the education sector, at the residence of the British ambassador, Edward Oakden, during a garden party in honor of Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday.
He told the Jordanian audience: "I greatly admire your resilience in Jordan has shown in the face of the many security and humanitarian challenges that have confronted you as a result of the conflict in this region.
"The way you open the door for hundreds of thousands of refugees from Syria, not to mention your long-term commitment to Palestinian refugees, is incredible."
Later, the princes sat together to watch England's record of beating Panama 6-1 at the World Cup earlier on Sunday.
Very cool! I love when royalty or even presidents embrace other cultures and go visit other coutnries, especially something so different like the middle east. Thanks for sharing.
