Stunning marble caves of Lake General Carrera in Patagonia, Chile

in travel •  8 years ago

A natural stunning marble cave of Lake General Carrera is located in Patagonia region of Chile. The cave looks like marble from outside formed by 6000 years of wave action. It is known as the most beautiful cave network worldwide, but people can reach there after a long journey.

They have to take off from the capital Santiago to reach the next nearest big city Coyhaique which is 800 miles from there. Then they have to drive through 200 miles challenging dirt roads to reach the lake.
