Abandoned childhood in Venezuela

I want to share some of my concerns that are happening in Venezuela, where the growth of an abandoned childhood phenomenon is present, to put it this way, at a very early age, this happens for various reasons. One of the main reasons is the instability in homes, since most of these are given by very young couples, adolescents that lead to quickly make this dysfunctional homes. It can be noticed very closely in the student institutions, I have seen how this affects the emotional and cognitive development of children.

Likewise, the economic situation in the country means that both father and mother have to work long hours to maintain the home, leaving their children at home or many times in day care homes, for most of the day. It is when we ask ourselves: What time do we dedicate to our children? Or better, what quality of time do we give to our children? This is where the ghost of loneliness and carelessness take over the situation, leaving the beautiful ingenuity and innocence at the mercy of evil.

In many homes it is to be noted how the absence of father and father are replaced by electronic games, television programs, malicious friends, among others. The most critical is in low-income households, where it is notorious that up to six or eight children share a place with little space, with continued ages. Most of these only have the presence of the mother, who can not cope with the expenses, it is then when due to their needs they are forced to leave in search of something to eat, submitting to any type of activity in the middle of their despair and being victims of unscrupulous characters who abuse the ingenuity of these children. It is to reflect that childhood is the primordial stage in the life of any human being and to coerce it brings abysmal consequences.

It is a question of how can we participate to stop this harmful scourge that concerns each one of us? It is particularly to think that it is our concern to contribute a grain of sand and not be oblivious to this serious situation that not only occurs in Venezuela, but in much of the world, they deserve to live each of their happy stages and enjoying it. I hope my post arrives with a message of reflection.
