My bf and I recently went on vacation to Hawaii. We consulted AllTrails to find some potential hikes we could do while exploring the island. We did get a couple of hikes in, but this one was the absolute best. My only regret was not being able to hike it more than once!
If you're considering a trip in the future, Kuli'ou'ou Ridge Trail is absolutely a must-see!

In terms of landscape and flora, this hike was the most diverse I have been on to date. From road to forest to mountain-top, there was never a shortage of things to look at!
The hike is rated as "moderate," but it could definitely be considered difficult for some.

All photos were taken on my Pixel 2 or bf's Pixel 2 XL. I wish I had successfully gotten a photo sphere from the top, but it was seriously windy. I had some trouble holding my phone steady.
For any not familiar with Google's Pixel phones, Motion Photos is one of their newer features. It continues recording a few seconds after you take a photo, so in addition to a photo, you can also export them as a .gif or video. The first gif I made with GIPHY, the second was exported using Google's app MotionStills. The downside at this time is the drop in quality, but I absolutely LOVE the feature. They make a sweet little souvenir. (:
